Chai Finance and Movin'

How on earth do three women who live in different places plan and pay for a vacation?

When I was home for a couple of weeks in October we got together and decided to split our vacation in three: I'm in charge of the night we land in Athens, getting to Istanbul and then keeping us entertained, occupied and lodged for three days and nights in Istanbul; Toby has responsibility for the mid-section where she chose to go from Istanbul to Cappadocia and back to Istanbul then Athens; Cheryl decided we should rent a car at the airport and head to Corinth (but why??) and Sparta before returning to Athens for a few days.^^

We each pre-paid for some sections of the trip that we organized and we're spliting some and paying parts as we go, with credit cards, debit cards, travelers' checks, dollars, Euros and Turkish Lira.

^^Cheryl and I planned our sections without checking with each other, but ended up booking the same hotel for the first night and last few days in Athens.
