We took an early morning flight from Shanghai to Beijing, boarded a bus for lunch and then visited the Pandas and Temple of Heaven. Beijing, another gigantic cosmopolitan city, reminds me of Costa Mesa on steroids: countless new buildings occupied by international mega-banks and financial companies.
