On Thursday, 4 June, the USO hosted a small get together with two large cakes to say good-bye to the 2nd MEB (my TC4ME Marines). About 2/3 of them head back to the States on Friday. The event felt more like a family gathering than a military related function. We have so much love and respect for these guys. A lot of them look like boys, but we so much admire the men that they are. It’s been our pleasure to know them and be a part of their lives.
They gave us a signed note and we took pictures. A PermaPlaque is definitely in order.
